AP and used car

SO I read on a bay area post that if a car has a flashed ECU... basically a married AP that hasn't been uninstalled from the car. If this would be the case with my car? (bought it used) how can i get it uninstalled?

you would have to have the dealer or someone else flash the ECU again with stock or another map.

I had (and still have) the same issue. The dealership isn't able to flash over the ECU, at least the one I went to at Fremont Subaru dealership, which is now closed down. However, I tried taking the taxtrix cable route, and was able to run the Stage 2 map. It's a temporary fix, for stage2, but if you really want to use the Cobb AP and tune it, Im not sure this is the right direction for you.

btw, there are people out there who will tune your car using a tactrix cable.... youll have to do some more research on it
