Ap Cell Code Fix

HEY ALL,
I am putting new seats in my 06 sti and i know the airbag light will come on. What i am trying to find out is can you use the ap to turn off the code or do i have to use a resistor to trick the car into thinking it still has side bags.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT
