Unhappy AccessPORT won't link to ECU (was: Accessport help......=/)

Just purchased this barely used for my 06 sti, its the V2, my Q is that it wont link up to my computer when i connect it, it just says accessport on the screen, and nothing else, did the previous owner not un-marry it or am i just retatrded......(it says plug and play!) lol
hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

What happens when you connect it to your car? Also have your tried a different cable?

yeah, just bought a new cable, and still does the same thing, just says accessport on the screen, my computer doesnt even recognize its connected to it..... i tried connecting it to my car and it says accessport on the screen as well. wondering if it is broken.

Seems like the AP is hanging at boot up, I would call Cobb on Monday morning (they are closed until then)
