Arrow AccessPort usage on different models?

Hey I've got an '03 WRX, and I found a V2 AP for sale that was previously used on an '06 STI.

I'm pretty sure that it won't work on mine, but I just wanted to make sure so I don't waste my money.

Also, what differences do the V1 & V2 have besides that color LCD screens.

Thanks.
