Accessport says CEL, dash says No...
hey guys.
BIG question:
Recently threw a CEL. Running a stage one on my STi (hugging on-ramp, hit rev-limiter) So I ran a scan on the Accessport and it reads "OBD error P0244" (wastegate performance A). It would not turn off after restarts.
After the night, the Check Engine light on my dash disappeared. When I scan CEL on the Accessport, it says "OBD error P0244".
The boost will hold (not flutter all over) but I am unsure if I still pull as hard.
Any suggestions or help?
Appreciated.

no. Figured if I clear it and the problem persists, the wastegate would not get any better. Just ignored.

Sal-23, you're a beautiful man. Thanks. P0244 is gone.
I guess it was just a fluke or a bad mixture of gas at the right moment (like backfire).
If I broke the headgasket, CEL comes on, and cleared it on the AP, will I be driving around town with a blown gasket and no CEL, or will the AP still show OBD error code but the dashboard CEL is gone?

check out this sticky in the 2.5l turbo forums https://www.i-club.com/forums/engine-power-ej25t-sti-2006-wrx-90/why-did-do-boost-creep-44825/ sounds like the same thing. CEL comes on after boosting high.

I installed a PDE DP last week and got the same CEL P0244 twice today I had my friend clear it with his Acess-Port. I got the DP from him and he never got this CEL just the one for cat-ineffiency. So if I don't have a Acess-Port how do I fix it??? get a code reader and re-set it when it happens or just hope the ecu will learn..What was your fix..

I was headed to a friends house when it happened and he had the Acessport for his STI we just used it to pull the code and to clear it. I am going to pick up a OBDII scanner tool just to have. My question still wasn't answered on how Rocket Man got that particular CEL to go away and has it stayed gone.

No need to grab a OBD scanner.
Is your downpipe catted? There very well may be something wrong with your wastegate.
