2000rs, whill cpu freak with postive manafold pressure?
will a non maf 2.5rs computer freak out if it reads positive manafold pressure?
If it does what would it do?
I am assuming that if the car is not a maf based system its a map system.
If so, short of getting a stand alone fule manigment system that comes with a maf is there any other product to eliminate this issue?

as I thought.
Yes computer will freak, but it's not under postivie pressure that It filps over, its vacume. The computer cannot understand the abnormaly high voltage from the sensor and shuts down the system.
I also found the fix. If you wire in a diod going from your MAP sensor to the chassis the diod will bleed off the excess voltage so the system will not cut out.
(or this is how i understood it)
when I get home I will get the spicifics on the diode.
What I also understood is the stock internals dont like any more than 5 psi of boost, so if you are only running 5psi the mixture under boost is not too far off.
not bad savings,
+$400 for a stand alone or piggy back vs. $2 for the radio shack diode!

here is what I was told on the issue
"go to radioshack get a 5.1volt 1 amp ziener diode and splice it into the map sensor wire. The stock map sensor runs 0-5volts and when under boost it sends the map over 5volts and cuts off the ecu cuz it can't read it. You splice one side into the mapwire and ground the other end of the diode to the chassis. This allows only 4.98volts to run to the ecu and ground the rest of the volts to the chassis so it won't go heywire"
