300+ is pretty high. As far as up pipe and down pipe there all the same crap. Just different names. I hate when people tell me when to get and what to do with my car etc. But i'd go with helix up and down pipe. They work real well and are a decent price. If your lookong for 300+ hp then something like a gt30 or sr50 is what your need.
yeah, uppipe, downpipe/turboback exhaust...choose based on price/sound/fitment
hitting 300 awhp is tough on 91 octane, starting with the STI would be a lot easier!
fun/popular turbos that will put you in the 250-280 range are vf23, vf30, vf34, vf22, 16g, 18g.
so, once you have the uppipe/turboback (catless or hi-flow cat) you also need bigger injectors, fuel pump, bigger intercooler (you can use the stock IC, but you can have more power with a bigger one) and engine management.

Isn't the 16g the stock evo turbo? Its like a twin scroll 16g etc. BUt yes the vf30 and vf34 are awesome turbos.

oh ok . What kind of power will this make on a suby?
its tough to find dyno plots, but it pushes more cfm's than the vf34 and vf22 so I take that as more power potential, its also quite a bit more expensive.
if you search '16g' in the 2.0 section on nasioc you will pull up lots of threads. I would post links, but its blocked from work
