Because I prefer to live well within my means. Just because I have a good paying job and good financial stability doesn't mean that I need to drive a $55,000 BMW M3. My STi performs just as well as a BMW M3; arguably better. The only things an M3 displays better than an STi are interior quality and panache. The last time I checked, interior quality or panache never won races.

You see, you'll learn later in life after you're out from under Mommy and Daddy's wings that when you live within your means you can have nice things, and you don't need to spend a fortune to have them.

When you live well within your means that means that you have that extra money lying around for that "rainy day," or more importantly if something were to happen, such as you were to get in an auto accident and find out your health coverage isn't going to cover that extra $25,000 for that emergency surgery, or if you (or your wife or whatever) lost his/her job.

There is more to life than expensive cars, whether you want to believe that at this point in your life or not. Maybe when you get older and pay your own bills you'll grasp on to that concept. In the meantime, you're only concern seems to be who you're going to impress with an expensive car at your little Bon-Ton parking lot hang-outs on Friday nights, and when you aren't doing that, you're dreaming about "Pimp My Ride."

It's funny how the first question thats always asked is, "Why didn't you buy something more expensive?" Ah, ignorance sure is bliss. Yes, let's buy the Porsche GT3 and pay $2,500 per month on a car payment! And what do you have to show for it? A flashy car? Big deal. The only person that would even care is yourself.

Hondas are pieces of sh*t. They are nothing more than family cars, and never will be anything more than family cars. You can polish a turd but it's still a turd. People can say that they have a 12 second Honda Civic, and guess what; it's still a Honda Civic when the day ends. It's the same with an SRT-4. It's a pile of crap. Somebody can have a 500 hp SRT-4, and in the end it's still nothing more than a Neon.

News flash, buddy. Your car has NOTHING in common with an STi. A pre-2006 WRX shares nothing more than a few body panels and some interior trim. Motors? Nope. AWD systems? Nope. Suspension set-ups? Nope. Transmission? Nope. Brake systems? Nope. Hell, the STi even has better structural stiffness! If you want to get all technical, it can be argued that the STi isn't an Impreza at all, but something else in an Impreza body!

And for the record, I never called your car a "piece." You did. If it is one, that's your fault, not mine, and surely not Subaru's.

Considering what your age probably is, it comes as no surprise that you would have respect for a 110 hp pile of sh*t.

this is great, thx for entertaining me at work. and sinister, why the hate for hondas. If you havn't taken a look at the new si already, they have 197 hp .. not 110, they are very agile and refined cars. There's no need for flaming the whole family when only part of that family's rotten. Hondas and acuras has built some of the best cars out there. Take the NSX for example, light years before it's time, the only thing that stopped it's sales is the lack of progression. and as for SRT-4s, despite the hate i have for dodge, i have respect for dodge for making a 23,000 dollar car that can hit 12s on the strip.

The Si does nothing for me. It has 197 hp. It runs a 15 second 1/4 mile. Agile? It's a FWD car. FWD cars will never be the performers that an AWD or RWD car will be. That's fact.

Hondas are reliable and economical family transportation. Nothing more. They serve as much purpose as a Buick. They inspire no excitement behind the wheel whatsoever. They're geezer pleasers. I've driven plenty of Hondas and they don't do anything for me. Was an S2000 fun to drive? Yeah, it was alright, but not exciting enough to warrant another drive in one. NSX? I have a 1994 LT1 Camaro that had nothing more than an intake, exhaust, and PCM tune and tailed one down I-95. The NSX couldn't get away from that big heavy beast if its life depended on it. Would it have a higher top speed? Probably. But up to about 135 mph I stayed right on its ***. Sorry, for $90000 that sure didn't impress me.

What stopped the sales of the NSX? Sales for the NSX never started! NOBODY was going to spend $90000 on a "super car" with 290 hp. At the time when the NSX came out it had what, 260 hp? They had what, about 200 ftlbs tq? Yeah, there's a real thrill-ride! As mentioned in the previous paragraph, it couldn't even outrun a Camaro with minor bolt-ons.

Dodge makes a $23000 car that hits 12s on the strip? Since WHEN?

Would I buy a Honda? Sure I would! I'd buy one for my wife so she has reliable transportation to get her to/from work.

And to handle that amazing and take out 200k + cars like the Murcielago, Gallardo, 360 Modena, and other cars like the 911 Turbo, and an M3 CSL. and if you don't believe that the nsx would win around a track go to racingflix and look up "Twin Ring Motegi Battle"
