I'm interested in Xede. Is that the best way to go since I'm planning on progressive upgrades?
I have the following mods:
TXS Turbo-back exhaust
Samco intercooler hoses
K&N Drop-in
Grounding wires
Gutted uppipe (not installed yet)
GFB Pulley kit (not installed yet)

Since you're in San Jose, can you find time to swing by the shop? We're located in Pleasanton which is half an hour to an hour from you, and we can discuss your options in much better detail that way.

I'd say the vishnu stages are worth it. THey do a lot of research and are the best of the best.
I really wish I didn't live in OH. There are no WRX tuning shops anywhere areound here. It is annoying. I can't just swing by one and talk to someone, which is what I would like to do. Oh well. At least we have 94 octane pump gas here.
There are. You're just blinded by all the hype about Vishnu. Here's one: http://www.buschurracing.com/order_parts_wrx.html
If you don't know who Dave Buschur is, then yer stoopid.
across the boarder there's Magnus Motorsports: http://www.magnusmotorsports.com
or another option (a bit of a drive, but a helluva lot better in my opinion then vishnu) is turboXS in Maryland. http://turboxs.com/

I know who Buschur is, I have been to his shop several time and know Tim Switzer, his #1 tech quite well, and I don't consider his shop to be a WRX tuner shop. He is a DSM tuner shop and knows hardly anything about WRX's. As soon as the EVO and SRT4 came out he has stopped doing R&D on the WRX.
It's all applicable. Just because YOU don't consider his shop to be a WRX tuner shop does not mean that he doesn't know what he's doing. Just you saying he knows hardly anything speaks for you by itself. Oh, what's this? His own forum actually has a WRX section? Well, he must like WRXs well enough if he's going to set that up... http://buschurforums.com/forum/
I, for one, appreciate the fact that what he's done with DSMs is tried and true performance that has time slips and course times to back it up.
From what i've read from Shivs posts on other forums is that he isn't concerned with slips and course times. This tells me that he also isn't concerned with realworld performance. http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthr...5&pagenumber=4
Having a vendor as a moderator doesn't exactly tickle my fancy, seeing as how he can and HAS deleted posts that aren't in his favor over there.
True performance figures from Burshur carries over to any turbocharged car.. http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthr...threadid=46095
This is my opinion. Take it how you will. But this is getting off topic. If you want to talk about who makes stuff in your area, maybe you should post it in your regional forum. Hell, maybe you should call your good buddy Tym and see what he can do for you. I'm sure you'll be plesently surprised.
BTW, it's TYM, with a Y not an I. You must know him REALLY well.

You are contradicting yourself here. Is he or is he not concerned with slips and course times. From what I know of him he most certainly is. I didn't say I was best friends with him, I said I knew him quite well, meaning I have talked to him on many occasions for countless hours and have met with him many times. Take that as you will.
If you go back to originating issue in this thread you will see that it is talking about performance stages for the WRX. This would mean that they have enough parts and have done at least some research as to what parts add what power to the WRX.
What does Buschur have? An exhaust. Not quite the same thing. I could go the Midas and have made the same "tuner" parts that he has available. I am not trying to discredit his exhaust, but making an exhaust does not qualify him as a WRX tuner shop.
Just because you think Buschur Racing is a WRX tuner shop does not mean that it is. You're right, this is getting of topic. Discussion closed.

NO ONE does more research and development for WRX's than Vishnu.
I says they have better products. why? Because those three companies that I mention care about the actual time slips and performance figures their cars run, as a matter of fact, take a look at each website of the respective company... Notice that vishnu is the only of the 4 that doesn't have actual race cars on their site? all i see from vishnu are dyno queens.
