Rollling Start
Rollling Start
Okay so this morning on the way to work I ended up at the light next to a Infinity G35 coupe. I was scoping out the car cause I like them and think that they are cool. And the light turned green and as I pull off I realize he's wanting to play. I continue and pull hard to the redline at each shift and he's slowly pulling away, at about the top of 3rd gear his rear bumper is probably (can't remember exactly) half a car length in front of mine. I did notice he was pulling away faster towards the end of the run.
I figure if i had launched it WRX style I would have had an advantage on him and probably just nosed him out through third. But that wasn't the case. Plus I didn't want to launch and him not play and me look like some idiot riceboy (being asian doesn't help with the whole look like thing, plus the fact that rice is in my daily diet). I have the Helix up and downpipe combo and nothing else cept for some rota SDRs.
Oh and I guess the worst part of it was that in the end when we were about the same speed. I was going to give him a thumbs up, but when I looked over he was staring straight ahead. I don't know if he was like "victory — I got that punk, cause I'm rich and blah blah" or if it was just part of his competitive (sp?) spirit. But I thought it was kind of jerkish. I've played with others before and they seem to have had a smile on their face win or lose, this guy was just being a punk. I guess it comes with the class of car, or am I wrong?
I guess the real thing is that I need to get my car a little faster — probably time for an Accesport or at least a reflash and swaybars, I should take it to the track since I bought new pads for that reason.
Anyways thats my little venting story about a jerk and a car that doesn't go off the rolling start very well. Thanks for reading.
