My mom wants to get rid of her safari minivan and get a used subaru.

She's looking to spend approx $10-12k canadian which is about $8-10k usd.

What's out there for that price?

What should I look for and what should I stay away from?

I found this 1997 Legacy GT for $11k canadian, how are they for reliability? I don't even know the specs on them, could you guys enlighten me?
