i really dont want to turn this into a war debate but im gonna say it like this
germany = anti-war since WWII, they will never fight again
france = anti-american.
if you think this is just the sentiments of one american, myself, i have read several news articles, Wall Street Journal first and foremost, who substantiate this claim. they have said that no clear reasoning has arose out of france for not giving their support to the us, aside from being anti-war out of spite. sad, but probably true.

well now youve dragged me in.....
the frech have given reasoning, they wanted us to wait til NATO made an approval, whats the point in NATO when we just go to war withought their consent......
the french did nothing wrong IMO, if they helped the Iraqis then thats something to be angry about but they are peaceful people and dont forget they helped us in the revo war like we helped them in WWII.....
war is not always the answer, and i still say it wasnt in this case.

well subaru figured that americans wouldn't car if their version of the STi was not rally true, they're not using it for WRC anyways. Every other country uses a 2.0l we're the only ones who are getting the 2.5 for now.
on a side note, the French avoind ALL conflict no matter what. Did any one watch Tony Blair's speech just before the war? He said "sometimes we have to fight for what we know to be the 'Right' thing, in this case we CANNOT delay any longer. More delay gives more time for what we fear most. We MUST act now for what we BELIEVE to be right. "
Therefore, I don't think the French are anti-american, I just think they're government officials make cowardly decisions.
