BUT.... I've NEVER have taken this car to Oakland!!!

The citation shows it as the right license plate, but my TWO DOOR GREEN SUBARU IMPREZA is not REMOTELY close to a FOUR DOOR GREY BUICK!!!

Now I have to do all this crap to try to get this citation repealed, OMG this is insane...

man thats nothing, I got a speeding ticket on the bay bridge 80 in a 50! And i wasnt even tryna speed, lane was merging and car to my left was pacing me. So i hand to speed up a little. $351 Fine! And for some odd reason, its says im not eligible for traffic school, which i've never taken b4.

 

Someone else got a ticket like this recently, but theirs was in So. Cal and they weren't there at the time either.

 

because you were going 30 over you cant take the traffic school i think?

 

If you're going 25+ you are not eligable for traffic school...

If you're going 15+ in Marin County you are not eligable for traffic school and you get 30 day probation (only drive to school and work) and $340+ fine.

 

Slowing down was an actual possibility here. 30mph isn't a little.

 

Good news is the buick won't get a ticket either.

 

thing is...i didnt go 30 over the limit. it was 15 according to my odometer. The other thing is, the cop didnt clock me with his radar gun... and wrote aprox. 80

 

Just call them and be NICE. Let them know that your car was never there, and to make sure that the citation also has the same plate written on it. They'll eventually realize it couldn't have been you. Stay on top of this.

I got a $350 ticket for parking in a handicap in Glendale, even though I never had the car there. It turned out that the data entry person entered the digits incorrectly, but the actual ticket had another plate # on it.
