this is from the kartboy site
This component replaces the stock shifter mount bushings in 1998-2002 model year Subaru Impreza vehicles, including the WRX and Outback Sport. While this product will not change the geometry of the shifting mechanism, it eliminates excessive play in the system for a more solid gearchange. This product requires jacking of the car and jackstands are mandatory. Can be installed in 30 min. Installation instructions are available here. (thanks to Peat Romano).

This product is produced in the good ol' US of A and like the Ford Model T, is available in any color you like, as long as it's black. Material is 95A durometer polyurethane.

Now available as a package price with Kartboy Kustom Shifter.
Got this from the Kartboy site. Only $35 there. They are a bit of a pain to install, though. The biggest PITA is getting the stock bushing out.

Order them and ENJOY THE NOTCHY FEELING!
-Greg
edit: You'll need 4 jackstands to do it right.

Getting the old bushing out is actually pretty easy. There are a couple of ways. I like using the stud that you take the bushing off of to push at the edge of the bushing to force it out like this:

Another way I've never tired is to remove the large washer that holds the bushing on then replace the nut. Pull on the rod and the bushing will stay there while it slips out of the rod's end.
