It can't hurt to use a more descriptive thread title - now fixed. Other folks may or may not have the answer for you but at least they won't have to view the thread to figure out what you're asking.

for the amount of power a 5mt for a wrx can handle the stock clutch has no problems handeling it, I've also been doing a little research, the stock clutch is rumored to handle around 300whp, while people break the tranny around 250whp. A lot of people have broke the tranny as the result of upgrading to a stronger clutch. Just a little bit to think about, if it aint broke don't fix it, and if you arn't building a 250+whp car I'd leave it alone. just my .02c.

Thanks for the info. Im selling an sti clutch ( the link in the first post) and I just wanted to know if it will work with a wrx 5mt. As for me I'm waiting to change out my stock wrx tranny gears in favor of a the RA gear sets I just need the time. I dont know how much more power I'll be shooting for but mods that I got sitting on the shelf are:

vf22
sti injectors
orc clutch
255lp fuel pump
and some other crap that I cant remember. I just need to deciede on what type of EM to use. thanks for your 02.c

it should be able to handle that stuff with a good tune, just don't raise hell 80% of the time. If you only get on it every once and a while the stock clutch and tranny should be able to hang with that. My friend has a VF30 that he's been driving around on and the tranny is responding pretty well to the power increase, But if you are out launching and on the gas all the time It will be time for the upgrade.

Thanks. Im aware of what our cars like and dislike and I will be doing my list of mods in the previous posts as soon as I find the time. All I wanted to know is if an sti clutch will work with a wrx tranny. I think I have my answer. thanks again
