Why does 2nd gear crunch when changing gear quickly?

Does anyone know how i would go about getting some of the gearbox oil out without having to remove the whole lot.

ya i tried that but i only had a small diameter tube and it was emptying at a rate of about 1 drop every 2 seconds, i let it go for a while but it didnt do much.

Get a small pump. You can get these little manual pumps that are designed to screw down on gear oil bottles at places like Kragen, Chief, etc.
