I bought a 00 RS as a project car and when I got it back i noticed that part of the shifter assembly is missing. I have a **** but there is no place to screw it on to the shifter... does anyone know where I can find the missing piece? I was just thinking about getting some "all-thread" rod and cutting some off and screwing it in....I'm guessing that's pretty much all that's missing. thanks for the help

 

That's not a factory shifter, looks like an aftermarket adjustable one. You should be able to get some 12x1.25 metric threaded rod and a nut to replace what's missing. Or, you can check through the classifieds here and at NASIOC to find a replacement shifter. People frequently sell the stock ones after they replace theirs with a Kartboy or alternate aftermarket one.

well.....i fixed it. couldnt find some 12 x 1.25 rod so i got 2 bolts (grade 8) and welded those fu$#ers together. here's a visual. thanks for the help...
