Towed by the front wheels!

I found out my car was towed for about .5 miles by the front wheels. Think there is any possibility of differential damage (5 speed)? If so, how can I tell?

ask the dealer to check and then sue the idiots who left the rear wheels on the ground.

wouldnt that completely wreck the center diff? i would be constantly trying to keep the front/rear wheels spinning at correct speeds right?

If it was a fine zone, then the possibility of tower paying is going to be low. "Towed at owners expense" can generally get the towing company out of any liability.....

Hope you're able to get the car fixed (if need be) by the towing company though.

My car was towed the other night while in first gear. The vehicle now makes a clunking noise when I coast in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears. How bad is the damage? I'm filling out the claim form for the towing company right now. Thanks for your help.
