Teh Click

Hey guys I gotsa a 05 sti and it has a faint click towards the back of the car when the car is rolling down or up. I thought it was the stock suspension but it does it when im driving on flat road with no bumps. it doesnt affect any driving that i do. it bothers me a little. Could it be uneven tread affecting the dirfferential. My front tires are a little worn out than the back ones. PLease help....I'm what we like to call desperate to figure this out...tahnks to all...

I have an '05 to and I hear the same thing. It's been doing it for a long time and I haven't been able to figure it out either. Like you said, it doesn't affect performance at all, it just bugs me that I don't know what it is. I'm going to look at the brakes tomorrow. I sometimes hear a similar sound when I apply the brakes just sitting in the driveway.
