Question sti-ra gears question

I got some sti-ra gears and when the mechanic was about to start the install at the subaru dealership, he said that the gears had no part numbers on them. I didn't think anything of it, but his worrying makes me question if they should be on or not. Did anyone else with these gears notice the same thing?

yeah I was going to do that, but the dealership had already tore the tranny down for diagnostic and I figured it would be easier to just have them do it. Plus they gave me a killer deal when I told them I was going to just pick up the car.

The gears do not have PNs on them because that is proprietary information. These gears are imported from Japan and are not stocked or carried in the US by Subaru dealers. The part numbers were intentionally taken off. Labor for a rebuild should run in the neighborhood of $500.

Thanks,

Geoff
