slushing sound???

I'm not positive its the transmission, or what it is, but here goes! It is relatively quiet, but when I'm idling at a stop sign and its fairly quiet, and I have my clutch in but the car in neutral, I notice a sound which sounds like a bucket of water sloshing. It is slightly different, but thats the closest sound I can come up with. I have a '99 OBS if that makes a difference. Any ideas as to what this is? Or anything I should check? Or is this normal? Thanx

It might be the throw out bearing plus I heard it's not good to sit with the clutch pushed in at stop signs causes premature wear on bearing.....But I could be wrong.

I just replaced the clutch, so I hope its not that bearing (that is what the throwout bearing is right?) but I usually leave it in neutral with the clutch out while waiting, and leave the clutch in as short as possible (my dad told me it was bad too). I notice it most when first starting my car in the morning cuz I put the clutch in, start the car, then sit there for like 3 seconds (I can hear it cuz the radio isn't yet on gota luv rotating faceplates) but I wrote it happens at stopsigns cuz theres one at the end of my street, and I hear it there again thnx

Does it do it after the car is warmed up??? Did you replace the throw out bearing if not should have while you had it apart...It might just be your new clutch you could always have somebody check it out just to make sure it's fine..

When I replaced the clutch, I had a new bearing pressed into the flywheel, and replaced the bearing thing (think throwout but not sure) that presses on the pressure plate thing when the clutch is pressed. I'm thinking I might take it in, but wanted to check here first, the rest of the time it feels perfectly fine. Thnx
