I Have A 94 Impreza Ls Automatic And About 2 Weeks Ago I Took It Out For A Spin And Noticed That It Is Taking Way To Long To Run Through The Gears, It Is Reving The Engine Up To 4500 Before It Will Change Shift And Launches The Car Forward When It Does Shift, If I Drive It Slow Not Revving The Engine To More Than 2500 It Will Run Throug All The Gears Smoothly But If I Press A Little On The Accelerator It Will Bump Down A Gear Or Two And Begin All Over Again, This Only Happens On Street Driving But When I Drive It On The Freeway Punching The Gas It Goes Throught The Gears Perfectly, I Was Told It Might Be A Speed Sensor.
Do You Know Of Any Over The Counter Code Reader That I Could Get In Order To Check The Computer Myself?? Or Do I Have To Go To A Dealer To Get This Checked?

thanks for all the help guys, got it working propperly with a small and easy adjustment to an electrical component, betcha wanna know which one huh.

 

TPS my friends, all i had to do was take it out when the engine was cold and re insert it and bolt it down in the position it went back in no forward or backward adjustments just set it back where it "falls" you could say.
