short throw shifters
i felt the short throw shifter in my friends brothers wrx and loved it. the stock one feels like a mile away now in between shifts. i was wonderin if the skunk2 short throw was any good, and does it vibrate bad? if it isnt good wut do you all like?

If I may, I'd like to recommend replacing the shifter bushings and the transmission mount. This really cleans up the sketchy shifting in the WRX.

Those are both good
mods, but why not get a decent short shifter also? Kartboy, Cobb, there are plenty of good short shifters. If you're really nutty, you can do this

get the subydude short throw shifter, its cheap and it works just like a kartboy, except the throw is even a little bit shorter.

I have the Cobb short throw shifter installed on my '03 wrx sedan and I love it. A buddy of mine with an '02 wrx drove it and noticed a HUGE difference in the way the car shifted, and he loved it as well. It's nice to have such a short distance between the gears, so if it's an option, i would personally take it.

I have the Kartboy short throw and cusco shifter bushing. The difference in the shift length and smoothness is incredible. Also for a smoother feel think about upgrading from OEM transmission mount to the STI tranny mount. I helped install one in my friends wrx and that helped remove a lot of the rough shifting.
