Easy.
I do not know how experienced you are with Subaru's so I will tell you what to do thinking you generally know what you are doing. If you do not understand, then you should not do it yourself.
j/k. Just ask me questions if you do not understand. I have done it so many times I can do it with my eyes closed. Seriously.
1. Take exhaust system off. manifold/headers, turbo (if you have it), downpipe.
2. Take intercooler or (if WRX) intake (if RS) off.
3. Remove front axles
4. Remove engine and tranny mounts
5. Drain tranny
6. Unbolt driveshaft and pull it out
7. Remove clutch fork
8. Unbolt tranny from motor
9. Unhook tranny harness
10. Remove tranny x-members
11. Yank tranny off
Thats the basic description of what to do.
Ask me questions if you need more help.

Yes, we have got every thing off surrounding the tranny but it is very tight and does not want to slide off the motor. We wanted to make sure that there is no one special secret before we go pulling on the tranny really hard. We believe it might be the alignment pins on the bottom of the bell housing that is holding us up. Since they are steel and the housing is aluminum there might be a little corosion on them.
Thanks for the help guys

I bet it is the clutch fork.
On the side of the tranny where the starter sits, there is a plug. Use a 10mm allen to remove the plug. Them, use any 10mm bolt and screw it into the pit that sits inside there. Grab the bolt and pull the pin out. Then remove the clutch slave cylinder and pull the fork up so that it slides off the throw out bearing.

Thanks Alex, we did have the fork out but the tranny was just really tight in there. 73k miles tight. We managed to get it out w/o tearing the motor mounts out even though it looked like they were going to. Thanks for the help once again.
