Help seperating Engine from tranny

Heydoes anyone have any tricks or suggestions on how to seperate theengine and tranny. I am in the middle of doing my clutch and my brother and I can not get them apart.

Yes all bolts are out, I have the service manual to verify. I don't have the same set up as 02-05 with that fork bearing, so there is no hexplug.

I just wanted to know if anything was holding the fork even though there is no hexplugfor fork, and if not what I can do to get this ***** apart.I have yelled lots of obscenities at it but it wont seperate.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

yell a TON more!! ahah

jk. Theres two dowel pins on each side. Use a punch and hammer to knock them loose. Spray tons of wd40 at those pins as well..Just be careful to NOT CRACK THE CASE while doing this..

Will need to use a lot of man power to wiggle it loose, specially if the trans and motor have not been separated before. Take the mounts of the top of the trans as well, will make it easier to pull the trans off

Just pay it what you owe it and I'm sure it'll just get off your engine

Just kidding, just scream at it some more and do what they said ^^ good luck

Yes but pre 2006 it had this bearing for lack of better words that you needed to pull out to release the fork. This doesn't exist in the 2006/2007 maybe even later models I imagine. I was told there is 2 tabs to release the fork but you can do itone youseperate theclutch because 06/07 is push style unlike previous years.

I guess I will just go keep yelling at it and banging it like an dirty *****.

Yea I've taken out a dozen with no problem but there were 2 or 3 which took me SOOOOOOO long but finally they came out. That was with an engine hoist though never from underneath for a clutch swap

i know you don't want to hear this but.. getting the 2 back together can be even more of a challenge.. like everyone else has mentioned, a lot of f-bombs and yanking is required. try jacking the motor up a little and wiggling it, then the trans. back and forth till it starts to come apart
