No synchro. in reverse ay? That's what I thought too 'cause ever since I had my '04, reverse was hard to get into. No grinding, it just wouldn't go until I let out on the clutch and pushed it back in. Then, after I finally got past break in and started pushing the car a little, I noticed a definite grinding when shifting into 5th above 3.5K rpm. I took the car into the dealer yesterday and the Asst. Svc. Manager informed me that the 5th gear synchro. was in fact bad and that they would replace it (the synhro., not the tranny) under warranty. He also told me that 5th and reverse share the same synchro. From what I rememeber, this is pretty common. Is the Asst. Svc. Manager blowin' smoke or is this really the case? Hopefully everything will go OK wih the repair. I'll keep you guys posted (if you care ;-)
