public opinion: tranny swap

my dilemma-

@ my dealership we just bought 2 wrx's(1 wagon/1sedan)
2003 models and they are both automatic - (from our distributor-they are giving us a huge incentive).
my question is this- - - do u guys think it would be a wise idea to swap a 5sp in place of the auto. i know this is more of a marketing kind of question, but i'm tryin to get all "angles" on the subject.

wow, kaneohe subaru will do that? i mean, i would think thats its somehow messin with the car. i mean, you know what i mean right? it wouldnt be like brand new from the factory kine.

I can't see that being cost effective. you would need to change the entire drivetrain because the auto's have different front to rear drive ratios and different differentials I believe. Maybe just the front... but anyhow, I would research it well to make sure your customers got all of the parts that should come with a factory 5MT.
