Problem with Kartboy shifter bushings...

So I decided to finally install the kartboy shifter bushings today, I managed to do so without unscrewing the crossmember under the tranny. I was all done and had a smile on my face till I got in the car and went for a drive. 1st, 2nd, and 4th have no problems but I have a really hard time getting it into 3rd gear and 5th is almost impossible to find. I needed to shift to third but by the time I found it, I had to downshift back down to second to speed up. NOT GOOD!

If anyone has any advice for me please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

well then I broke it and managed to put it on correctly and I had the same symptoms as you, a tech looked at it flipped it over called me an idiot and put me on my way. I've yet to replicate those issues since.

haha...I thought I put it in the way I popped it out but I may be mistaken. I will flip the plate over tomorow.

BTW, was the left side bushing harder than hell to get in, I tried forcing it with what little room I had for about 15 minutes till i finaly just forced it on by tightening the bolt...
