Question Kartboy short shifter w/o bushings

Just need some opinions:

I'm thinking about ordering the Kartboy short shifter without the bushings (use the stock bushings). Can anyone who has this setup comment on the shift feel? I'm thinking about ordering without the bushings so the install will be easier. Also, if I did order the bushings, I'd be worried about the washer and nut on the linkage backing off (the bushing under the car). Any comments are welcome.

i installed the shifter first, and then did the bushings a while later even though i ordered them at the same time. my thoughts:

- the kartboy shifter is a huge improvement over the stocker even without the bushings.

- the bushings really compliment the shifter, and they're worth the small ammount of trouble to install.

- if you're worried about the nut backing off, use loc-tite, or safety wire it. that said, the risk of the nut backing off is about the same with the stock bushing in my estimation.

i'd definitely go with the bushings, they make the kartboy short shifter feel a lot more precise. the install is easy, just watch your knuckles on the exhaust heat shield

In reality the nut that holds the backing plate on should be replaced when you take it off. It's not supposed to be reused. I've always reused them and just added some Loc-tite. Never had a problem. The bushings make the shifter feel more positive, I think they are worth installing myself but they are not 100% needed.
