I'd go with the subaru SPT setup. It may not look the best but you're not going to be looking at it after you're finished installing it. With that said, the install can be kinda fun on the SPT shifter. It's definately not as simple as the kartboy or any other short shifters for that matter. I do know one person that had a problem with one of the AM short shifters, switching to the SPT shifter resolved all of his issues with his trans popping out of gear.
