hm, well the video poster wrote a comment saying it was his slave and master cylinder. so maybe some kind of lack of lubrication or air escaping the piston?

Mmmhmm. My clutch gets the squeak squeak. Someone on the forums once compared it to the sound of a duck; that's the best description for mine, too.

It also could be your pressure plate. My clutch did the same thing. SOA said it was my pressure plate and replaced it. No more squeak!

I believe the invoice said was about 300-400 bucks but since it was covered under warranty I paid nada. If you're going that route I suggest you change the clutch while you're at it. If you can't you might just have to live with it. Turn up the stereo. That's what I did.

Your clutch has squeek? My backpack has jets.

Seriously, though... pretty typical for Subaru. First thing to try is lubrication. If that doesn't fix it then it might be your throwout bearing. I don't have speakers at work. Those are starting places.

my Mom's throwout bearing has been scraping for the past 20K...i dont think its bad, unless the bearing flys apart and damages other parts if thats possible. The sound goes away when you rest your foot on the clutch.

its the throwout bearing

only way to fix it, is to remove the tranny.

Same thing happened on my car... It went away after I replaced the clutch for other reasons...

to the OP. is it a squeek that is exactly like the video or is it more like a chirp when you are idling in neutral?

If it happens while you're idling and foot off clutch then it's the TO. If it happens every time you push the clutch then it's the pivot needing lube. I still have no speakers.

Here instead of me PM'ing details, its easy.

When you replace the clutch the noise will go away!

if you need pricing I'm sure you could ask one of the vendors, and I think AHQ already PM'd you that.
