You could try i-Club's members' Reviews section. There's a link on each forum page to that section.

You could use the Search feature to bring up several similar threads on Kartboy shifters. Go back up one level to the list of threads in this forum and you will see a link to search this forum.

I found that when pushing my car to the max, WOT through all the gears, that the stock shifter had the feel of a rubber chicken. I changed for a kartboy shortshifter with both front and rear bushings and it is completey transformed. shifts feel more positive and it slides into gear a lot easier, especially when under pressure.

well worth the money.

I have one installed in an 02 WRX. It has a very crisp feel, but that type of thing means different things to different drivers. You feel every single element of the transmission and its engagement, and you get to hear every clack, squeak and click the transmission makes. Racers call this "good positive engagement"; ordinary drivers call this "a notchy pain in my ***." I love it, but I am definitely switching back to the stock shifter before I attempt to sell the car, because anyone not already used to driving it would hate how notchy and noisy it is.

I have one as well with all the bushings replaced. But, I had always found it to be a bit too short for my taste. So, I modified mine by lengthening it by an inch and half. With Kartboy's shift ****, the height is just about perfect for me.

was your stock one the short shifter or standard shifter?
Did you have upgraded bushings with the stock on?

If not then I'd say it's not the most accurate comparison. The bushings make a big difference.

As for the kartboy. I don't have one but I here nothing but good things about them. Subydude has a nice one as well.

i am looking to purchase this as well, but im shopping around for the best price.

all the vendors on i-club and nasioc sell it for the same price you can get it from the kartboy website..

no point going through vendors if u can go directly to the manufactuer for the same price. i've been lookin at prices for the past few hours, so i've been doing my research lol.

Buy it direct. Those guys were extremely helpful to me when I had an installation problem with it, and they respond to e-mails within hours. Why not reward them for their good customer support.

That's a good point. I'm sure most of the difference is the bushings. My original shifter was standard with stock bushings.

And By the way, if it costs the same to buy it direct from Kartboy as it does from an i-club vendor, then you should get it from an i-club vendor to support the site.

Oh. I guess they are a vendor without a section in the vendor forums?
