Impreza clutch heavier than most?

OK, I did a search and couldn't come up with anything...

I just bought a 2000 OBS and I find the clutch to be quite heavy compared to any of my other cars let alone my other 4 cylinders I've owned. I just went from a Ford Ranger V6 to this and the clutch is alomost as heavy as the truck's. I don't mind a heavier clutch (the one I had on my 5.0 was the worst) but this seems way too heavy for a 2.2L engine that only puts out 130hp...

Am I just being a wuss? Do Imprezas just have heavy clutches or is there something I can do? Slave cylinder or pressure plate...or throwout bearing maybe?

Thanks!
