A turbo that makes more power on pump gas than the vf30 but still reaches 20+ psi earlier than 4000. I guess the vf22 fits in there, but are there any newer or mitsubishi based units for the wrx that fit that criteria?

fuel pump you mean

Hey out of curiosity at what point do you need the 650cc injectors? Those are kinda expensive. If I'm just running say one of those big turbos but on pump gas, are STi injectors and the stock fuel pump adequate?

Did I hear somewhere that the stock ecu was only compatible w/ sti injectors?

If you post this question on clubWRX.net, you may get some good suggestions.

Or you could just post them here.

verc, the problem is pump gas. No turbo makes a whole lot more than what a VF30 does on pump gas because that's the limit of the octane and displacement. Race gas is another story. You can go about as big as you want on race gas.

There will be a new fully bolt-on Garrett hybrid turbo hitting the streets in the next few months. I saw it make 270 to the wheels on pump gas, stock WRX except for turbo and uppipe/exhaust and reflash. Basically a stage II WRX w/stock IC. Personally, I'm sticking to the VF30 until that comes out.

Is that using stock injectors and fuel pump?

dude if your upgrading your turbo you need to get at least bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, and some form of engine management. The only way you could run a new turbo with the stock parts is if that turbo is only boosting around 10-12psi. If u want to run it anywhere near its efficency you need to have the right amount of fuel.

You seem to try to draw people away from here to clubwrx.net quite often. I mean its cool that you like that site, but its kinda messed up for you to send them away to that site. He posted here on the bay area forum of i-club b/c he probably wants an answer from the local people, there is no bay area presence at clubwrx.net.

God's GT is not a hybrid but a complete GT Series turbo kit offered in GT30 and GT35 trims with the associated piping to make it bolt up so to speak.

I believe BAN SUVS is referring to a Garrett turbo that bolts up to the stock up and downpipe, I know that Shiv had one before and also that ATP have been prototyping a casting for Garrett which would be about the same thing.

Should be interesting if priced right although a little late to the table if you ask me.

I don't try to draw people away from anywhere. I just posted that up because there are a lot of knowledgeable people over there as well that can help with suggestions. That's all. If you have resources to several other forums, why not use them.

ok I might be wrong but I tHINK someone on Nasioc posted about having 475 flywheel hp and doing as many dyno runs to find out when he'd blow up and did like 280 pulls or something.

Well I dunno but the stock WRX, especially with cast rods, Ithink has shown HUGE potential, more than anyone would have expected. I mean what we've got here is not much more than a hugely bored out civic engine set horizontally opposed. (well it's not obviously, but our cars are no "forged-rods-revs-to-9000-on-stock-engie-and-valvetrain MR2turbo or closed-deck-forged-everything EVO or anything)

Besides, 400 hp... a lot of us are used to this big hp talk being thrown around... 400 horsepower is still a lot of horsepower folks...
