well i shattered 2nd gear and im not sure if i should get the RA gers or do the 6speed swap??? at the moment i have a 20g turbo being built by my buddy at inovative turbo.... what should i do some help!!!! thanks

 

The RA gears would probably be fine and the 5MT would save weight compared with the 6MT. 6MT swap is preferable if you have the funds. It's a different design and a much beefier transmission overall than the 5MT.

the question is....how did you shatter 2nd and will you be doing that again?

 

how did i shatter 2nd gear??? well driving like a total jack ***.... i was racing from a rolling start and well yea it happened it felt like a little explosion under the car...

 

what kind of car do you have?

 

its an 02 wrx, which explains the weak gears. If you want to solve this problem, get RA gears, if you want to make sure it doesn't happen again, go with the 6MT
