How to confirm rear diff ratio?

So I picked up a read diff from an automatic 2002 WRX. Everything points to it having a 4.11 gear ratio, which matches my 2002 2.5RS rear dif ratio.

Being the paranoid one and just wanting to double check that the two have the same gear ratio, how would I go about doing so? I don't really want to take the WRX diff apart if I don't have to.

Anyone know how? Can I count gear teeth?

You can count gear teeth. # of Driven gear divided by #of drive gear teeth = gear ratio.
