a few days ago while giving gas in 1st gear i heard a popping noise(occationally does it in 2nd) and it almost felt like my clutch pedal jumped up at me or something was loose banging up against something. i have no clue what this could be no clutch slip no burnt smells nothing of that nature...i thought maybe throw out bearing but if so that would do it in all gears. also in 4th and 5th gears there is a strange whining noise that sounds alot like it does when your in reverse and give it some gas...again im not sure with this could be buttt either my synchro gear is going out orrrr im about to loose 4th and 5th which makes no sinse...all the abuse comes out on 1st through 3rd so idk why 4th and 5th would go out any help would be greatly apreciated

 

i do have front and rear shifter bushing and yes there is alittle added cabin noise but not like its doing now its very noticable....a little more notcy than usual

 

^I broke my transmission in January and it's finally in the shop now. I broke 2nd gear and destroyed the clutch force driving it home.

I had that wierd drive train noise, it was very audible. Windows up and drive near a concrete divider or wall, very audible. I had a loud pop noise from 1st to 2nd gear during the shift. I would thought that was my rear struts because they are blown, oh was I wrong. 1st gear going 25, shift to 2nd and pop...kadunk, and I was stranded.
