Unhappy Help it wont come loose!!

We have every bolt out og the tranny and the fork retaing rod thingy out but the damn tranny after 6 hours of messing with it wont break loose from the motor. were trying to take it out the bottom to change the clutch which is how i have always done it but i talked to a guy to day who said i have to pull the motor, PLEEZE say it ain't so.

AFAIK...the motor has to move foreward ~2 inches to get things to work...the engine goes foreward...not the trans going back...

well we got it off but getting it back on is a pain. we are like an inch and a half off. any ideas.

Judicious application of considerable force was required to mate the trans. to the block in my case. I also had to (*cringe*) pull the trans torwards the block the last 1/4" by tightening the engine-to-tranny bolts.

you need to miake sure all the bolts wil lthread without binding, then just tighten them all equally, like torquing a wheel, and the tranny will suck itsef right onto the engine.
