Question help! help me find a clutch

I just bought an 04 WRX and it needs a new clutch... wasnt beat up just has a 110,000 miles and the guy didnt know how to drive...

I was going to go with the ACT Street Disk setup but if anyone has any recommendations I would be stoked.

Have to drive it everyday and be able to have fun with it in the canyons on the weekends

i love my Spec Stage 2. i have an ACT Stage 1 in my 1986 Mr2.

the Spec is a bit more 'snappy' with the engagement, but you'll get used to it really quickly and you'll be able to drive it like an OEM clutch.

when canyon time comes along, the snappy engagement will be something you're going to love. it just GRABS and GOES.

the ACT was more 'forgiving' during initial engagement, but the pedal was 3 times stiffer than stock, whereas the Spec is LIGHTER than stock on pedal stiffness.

my vote is for a Spec clutch - and have a shop install it.

you might also want to have your flywheel resurfaced ($40 task).

clutch

What amount of difference would it make to get a lighter flywheel? I know it would make a lower inertia and what not but is it a notice-able upgrade? As far as actual clutch I've heard if you get "too good" of an upgraded clutch you can hurt your gears..... So where is the line between a factory clutch and stage 2, 3, 4......?
