The more pertinent question is....what have you noticed different that would make you think you blew your front differential?

I'm noticing a clunking noise as well when I turn hard at slow speed. I crawled under the car tonight and checked for loose bolts. I could hear the diff cluncking when I rotated the wheels back and forth.

I know the front diff is a cam follower arrangement in the 04 STI and that it is a "wear" part. Anyone else having this problem?

sure it's not just an axle? did you happen to pop the clutch or something with one wheel off the ground?

I guess it could be the spline into the diff but the car isn't pulling 1 way consistently. I would think if the axle was shot I'd have severe pull.
