Control fork jammed?!?
I had a place check it out and they told me the control fork was jammed inbetween my shift or clutch forks. They got it unstuck and put everything back together, but it still feels like it did right before it happened. Is there a site I can find more information on this or get new/ stronger parts so this doesnt occure again? I drive a 99'OBS 5-spd.n Thanks.

the shift forks are selectable.this means the correct measurments have to be made to select the coorect of 3 available forks for each.the time should have been taken to make the correct repairs and inspection of the shift fork rod.sounds like they replaced the failed part and didnt fix the fault of what made the fork go bad in the first place.if it doesnt go into gear smoothly dont force it it will break or bend

Yeah. I'm sure they didn't look for why it did that in the first place, but oh, well. Are there any upgradeable (stronger) parts to replace these with (dealership)? I do tend to slam into my gears pretty rough so I figure I should look at getting all the shift parts upgraded. Any estamates on cost or ideas to upgrade? Thanks.

shift fork
you will have to look to the aftermarket world for what you want.but let me say this.the dealer i work for sent me to a wrx-sti ride and drive.we were given the chance to road course race with some british road racers by are side.i myself picked up alot of driving tips from these lads.the nest tip will help here im sure.when the shifted they were smooth as silk at it.the trick is to depress the clutch before fully letting up on the gas.this kept the main shaft in the trans spun up and it would go into the next gear with ease.everyone thinks you need to shift fast and hard.that will only cause more problem and loss of spped when you dont get it into gear.
