cluth prob. . . new slave cylinder?
My '99 RS has a problem on hot, hot days. Once the car's warmed up, the clutch pedal has a tendency to drop to the floor, leaving stuck in whatever gear I'm in.
I've flushed and bled the line, but to no avail. I'm suspecting the slave cylinder is bad. Does this sound right to you? And if so, how easy is it to replace this myself? I'm getting tired of warding off mechanics who want to replace my entire clutch for gobs of money. (Although I might need one anyway, I don't think it'll solve THIS problem, since this has happened once or twice when the car was nearly new, and is happening more frequently.)
I've got about 65k miles on the car. . .
Cheers!
