Clutch problem

My WRX clutch started to slip bad at 50k miles, just all of a sudden. Pulled it apart and installed new clutch and pressure plate, 30 miles latter the same thing. Everything looks good, any ideas anyone. Never even worn the machine marks off the ppressure plate or flywheel. No binding in slave asm.

I doubt this is your problem but years ago I had a 300Z that had the same problem. It ended up being bad roller bearings on the counter shaft. Since the roller bearings were bad it caused the output shaft (not sure this is the right term) to move and break the seal leading to the clutch and transmission fluid would glaze my flywheel.

I did a search and couldn't find anything like you're describing so it may be hard to get good advise.

did u look to see if anything was leaking causing contamination of the disk, such as a rear main.

also, check your clutch cylinder and all lines to make sure it is holding fluid...

03 wrx tranny issue

Had a slipage problem, thought it was clutch, looked good but replaced, 30 miles latter same problem, replaced new clutch with new clutch, 300 miles latter same problem. Yesterday accelling gently in 2nd, I heard a pop and it began to slip again.
Then later as I was driving it healed itself, then it broke again. When it is broke it has a funny rattle or noise in the center of the car. Pulls good in 5th but slips in low gears. Questions, why did it fix itself when tranny was removed and reinstalled and why did it heal itself and break again?

It is not the clutch, is it the viscous(sp) clutch? ANY IDEAS?

03 clutch problem

After 2 new clutches it is not the clutch, some thing else slips. But it always fix it self for a while when the tranny was taken out, in fact it healed itself and then broke again while driving it.
