Which clutch to get with my STi swapped RS Impreza?

Just like the title says, what do you guys think would be a good clutch to get for my GC with a STi motor in it. It will be mated to the RS 5 speed... for now.

I dont want something super aggressive because this is going to be my daily driver at the moment where I will be using my car to get to school and work on the streets. No track days... yet.

I have been looking closely at the ACT SB2-HDSS and I can get that around $420 shipped brand new. This is my price range I am trying to stay around.

Another option is Exedy which my friend mentioned. What do you guys think? Also... swapped GC guys chime in too if you want to post what you are running in your set up.

Thanks!

nice, okay.

well.. im starting to lean more towards the exedy stage 1 over the act hdss now. the price difference is pretty significant. the cheapest exedy brand new online i found was $312.99 and the cheapest act hdss brand new was around $420ish

anyone want to chime in on which direction i should go?

i had bad luck with exedy. It never broke in and chattered and shuddered. It felt like a puck clutch. I went with ACT stage 2 and I love it.

Certain parts i usually try to stay close to oem especially since my car is not heavily modded. Exedy is the OEM manufacture for Subaru and i ran their carbon carbon clutches as well as there single carbon on my previous more modded cars and i never had an issue. I've had act clutches and they are well made as well. Back when I had my Evo my rule of thumb was if HKS's evo has it on their car then its worthy to be put on my car. Exedy also manufacture's clutches for HKS.
