Question Clutch Differences

Every time I get into 05 WRX the clutch pedal always feels different. Sometimes it is "loose" if you will and other times it it more stiff. When it is "loose" the shifts are very smooth and when the clutch pedal is stiff the shifts take more effort and percision to make them smooth. I was just wondering why it feels different everytime I use my car???
