AWD System
Can it be isolated from a subaru. Is it tied into the ECU or anything of the sort. What "smart" parts are involved in the system? Any info on the topic would be much appreciated?

Are you talking about turning it off? On the auto's you can but on the manuals you are not going to be so lucky unless you feel like hacking on the drivetrain a bit.

Nope not looking to turn it off at all. I'm Looking to transplant a Subaru AWD system into a kit car.
