Auto trans. Question
I am planning on changing my Automatic transmission fluid. My question is do I have to drop the pan or is there a drain plug? Should I bother changing the filter? Also do I just fill the new fluid through the dipstick? One more question do you know how much to put in and what type of fluid you recommend regular or synthetic? Thanks

You cannot really completely "drian" the AT tranny. If you are planning to completely flush the system, you really need to fluch it. Opening the drain at the bottom will only drain about 50% of the total fluid, as your torque converter holds a lot of it. So then you mix old with new fluid and it becomes a mess.
Go to a professional tranny shop and they can flush it for you. The last thing you want to do is to mix synth and non-synth fluids together.
