Auto Tranny Mount: Harden w/ urethane?

Since there is no STi mount for the auto, has anybody ever considered using urethane or something of that sort to harden up the stock mount? I don't know how the stock mount works, so maybe this isn't even worth the thought. Maybe someone knows.

dunno if that will work or not. worth looking into i guess. I assume the OEM ones are fine. It seems that if you add stiffer mounts into the tranny and engine that something has to give. it kinda like the subframe bolts in regards to it screwing up the chasis over time or a racing clutch on a oem tranny. Im guessing it's not worth it unless you want problems...kinda like the 3to4 gear mystery thread i posted recently. On that topic does the sti engine mounts change the angle to/from the tranny? that could lead to more problems if it did. if the did have a 4eat sti tranny mount then the angles would be equal and there would be less stress. These are just my assumptions...fill me in if im wrong.

Most likely Ill never do it, I read somewhere the 4eat mounts differently, so the softer mount is less of an issue. As far as I know the engine mounts don't change anything, they are just stiffer rubber in the mounts. People have done the engine mounts without any problem. Likewise lots of people just do the engine mounts in the 5spd without any concerns.
