When I'm getting on the highway, at about 3 1/2- 4k. Shifting into 4th is really rough. And before letting the clutch out, it seems to make a short grind sound. The car is going in the shop for it's 6k service very soon. I just wanted some ideas before it goes.

Most the time the dealership will tell you that its due to pilot error. Based off your screen name it looks like you have an 07. Depending on the dealership you should be able to have them fix it should you make enough of a fuss. Again depends on the dealer.

 

I'm just going to let them keep it long enough to tell me it's not the driver. I'm a mechanic for Volvo. So I have some ideas of my own. The problem is I have 2 jobs. Very little time to even want to fix it myself!
