4.444 Final Drive Ratio Conversion Kit

Guys, I'd love to get a real gear box set up, but the cost really leads me to other alternatives. I was wondering if anyone is running a 4.444 Final Drive Ratio Conversion Kit in their WRX? If so, any feed back on the conversion from installation to what difference you really feel is greatly appreciated. My primary reason for this mod is to get a little more pick up for SCCA.

Thanks a bunch,
WRX 151

change the ring and pinion in your tranny and you've got a 4.44. No "conversion kit" needed.

you loose a lot of top end speed, but gain a lot of low end go.

Yes, you can just buy the front and rear ring and pinion sets. As long as that ratio was available for the standard Impreza R160 diff, you can just bolt it in on both ends. It's probably not legal for D stock, ST-S/X or CSP. Make sure before you do the change.
